New free plugin. Wavesfactory has today released the Cassette Transport, a free audio effect plugin for PC & Mac. CT is a plugin that will make music producers happy who loves a more noisy and characterful sound. It simulates the sound of tape speeding up and slowing down. It also includes noises from the physical buttons and rotor of a real Cassette unit.
With this plugin, you can manipulate all your tracks or audio files so that it sounds as if you had recorded it with an old tape device. It’s a perfect audio plugin for vintage sound design.
Play and stop times can be adjusted independently to a maximum of 8 seconds. This plugin is also able to sync the values to the host tempo. Below is a short demo that shows nicely how the plugin works and sounds with different audio material.
Wavesfactory Cassette Transport is available now for Mac and Windows in VST, VST3, AU and AAX formats. The plugin is 64-bit only and requires macOS 10.7+ and Windows 7.
