IK Multimedia has announced that they are giving away the Orange Dual Terror for AmpliTube 5 through the entire month of October as a free download. So it’s a free plugin for the Halloween season.
The Orange Dual Terror doesn’t require the full version of AT5 but also works in the free Custom Shop version. So it’s a free download for everyone.

The Orange Dual Terror is a wicked twin-channel, 30-watt guitar head featuring a unique 2-stage preamp, which has a massive tonal range using just three controls per channel.
The Fat Channel delivers warmer tones, while the Tiny Terror Channel has the sonic character of the original Tiny Terror. It’s basically two great amps heads in one.
How Do You Get It?
- Log into your IK account and head to your User Area
- Use the pop-up message to Redeem your promotional item and sign up for the Newsletter, if you’re not already
- Download and open the IK Product Manager
- Select Manage My Products, then using the Software tab, click the Install and Authorize button to the right of AmpliTube 5
- If you already have the latest version of AmpliTube 5 installed (version 5.2), please enter the Menu inside AmpliTube 5, navigate to the Account tab, and select Restore Purchases
Yes, these are a lot of steps for a free plugin but unfortunately the only way to made it happen.
The IK Multimedia AmpliTube 5 Dual Orange Terror is free until October 31th, 2021, and runs in AT 5 and AT 5 custom shop, the free version. It runs as a VST, AU, and AAX plugin on macOS and Windows.
