HY-Plugins has today released two new Synthesizer plugins: HY-Poly is a new virtual analog subtractive Synthesizer with an interesting feature set, HY-Poly Free on the other side is the free version with fewer features.
The full version features 2 oscillators + 3 oscillator modes (sync, FM…), mixer, dual multi-mode filters, four envelopes, two LFOs, random, S&h, drag and drop modulation assignment, 24 modulation sources, 9 MIDI effects, 25 audio effects, MIDI learn and a nice selection of built-in sounds in a nice designed preset browser. Also nice to see is that it comes with a resizable interface.
The synth is quite complex thanks to its powerful modulation engine. Via simple drag & drop, you can modulate many synth and audio fx parameters with different modulators.
What Is Different In HY-Poly Free?
Free plugins have often a limited set of features. This applies also here: you get what you pay for. The free version has fewer features but is fully usable without time limitations or noise. It comes only with one oscillator mode (sync), a maximum number of 4 voices, no midi effects, and only 5 audio effects.
The entire modulation power, however, is included in the free version, which is a nice plus. This includes four envelopes, two LFOs, random generator, S&H & more. At first glance, a small, nice-sounding free Synthesizer for your DAW.
HY-Plugins HY-Poly Free is available now for free and is compatible with PC & Mac in VST, VST3, AU plugin format. The plugin doesn’t require a registration to a website or newsletter. It’s a simple download.
